Nubian Princess
Brilliant lights of the full moon
reflect off of ancient cataract
rapids and crystalline rocks of
the Nile River, as it cuts through
valleys of black fertile lands
bordered by vast golden
windswept desert sands.  The
Nile River goes through most
of its cataracts while traveling
through the Nubian Desert.

Highly reflective multi-faceted
faux diamonds (rhinestones) and
black enamel are set in a bright
gold metal vintage pendant that
is suspended on the back of the
pendant by hinged gold clips to a
35" Prince of Wales golden chain
(17 ½" drop on each side). The
pendant may be easily removed
from the chain, and the two
components worn separately.
Suggestion: May be worn full
length or choker-wrapped once
around the neck, with the
remaining length falling below.

Father of Life
Mother of All Men
The Nile River is the longest river
in the world, originating some 30
million years ago. The name Nile
comes from the Greek word Neilos,
meaning valley or river valley. As
the river periodically flooded the
lands in ancient Egypt, it left
behind black sediment; and, as a
result, ancient Egyptians called the
river Ar or Aur (black). The Greeks
and Egyptians gave the land its
oldest name Kem or Kemi, which
also translates into black. The
river's water, as a life artery, and
the black fertile soil along its banks
allowed for the creation of evolving
civilizations since ancient times.

Ancient Days

Italian hand-carved carnelian shell depicting 7 different scenes of ancient chariots in Greco-Roman mythology.

Widely known as the 7-Day Bracelet, each panel represents a different day of the week.  Various stories are  attributed to each scene related to mythological Gods and Goddesses and known heavenly bodies of the time.

Each carved shell panel is bezel set in a Sterling Silver frame with a 10K finely twisted thread of Gold roping around each frame. All frames are connected with two silver chain links.

The bracelet is 7" in length, with a slide-in box clasp with a side safety bar. The 800 Silver stamp on the clasp is partially worn off; otherwise, the bracelet is in very good condition, with no visible cracks in the cameos. This bracelet is referenced in "Old Jewelery 1840-1950," 5th Edition, and very collectible.
